About

I'm Damon Dryden. I've been in tech since 2006 when I started GiSquared as a computer repair shop. These days I'm an AWS Solutions Architect working with retail brands.

This site is my public notebook — part blog, part brain dump. I write about cloud architecture, AI experiments, homelab adventures, side projects, and whatever rabbit hole I fell down this week.

I live in Sandpoint, Idaho with my family and some chickens.

The Homelab

I run a Kubernetes cluster at home — five-node RKE2 cluster, a MicroK8s management node with Rancher, full monitoring stack with Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki. It hosts everything from Forgejo (self-hosted git) to Immich (photo management) to the AI agent that helped build this site.

GI²

GiSquared started as "Get Involved, Go Inspired" — a computer repair and IT services business. The GI² logo is from that era. Twenty years later, the domain is finally becoming what it should have been all along: a place to write stuff down.

This Site

Built with Astro, styled with Tailwind CSS, and deployed to Cloudflare Pages. Content is MDX files in a git repo. The content pipeline runs through Telegram to an AI assistant (OpenClaw) that captures ideas and drafts posts.
